Young guns re-sign
Warrington Wolves have re-signed Paul Noone and Mark Gleeson on one-year contracts, keeping them both at Wilderspool for Super League VI.Mark Gleeson, recently awarded the accolade of the Wolves Most Improved Player of Super League V, made his debut for the first time against London Broncos at the Valley. Mark has played 21 games for the Academy, bagging 13 tries on his way. Having only missed two games during the season for Paul Darbyshire's side he had the best of excuses, he played for Lancashire Academy and was on first team duties. Mark, a grafting hooker in the same mould as Danny Farrar, has scored 26 tries in the last two Academy seasons. Gleeson signed from Ince St. Williams and made his debut for the Academy in 1999. Paul Noone is a talented back-rower, a former Great Britain Academy Captain no less. Noone has made 8 full and 5 sub appearances for the first team in Super League V scoring two tries. His tries came against Salford City Reds (Home - 6th August) and as a substitute against Hull FC (Home - 13th August). Paul made his debut against Castleford Tigers (21st May 2000) as a substitute and is a versatile player who should figure prominently in the Wolves Super League VI campaign alongside Mark Gleeson.
