Wolves Girls & Ladies
Warrington Wolves Ladies were formed in July 2003 and enjoyed great success on and off the field in their inaugural season.
In playing terms, the Ladies ended the season as Division 2 Champions while the performance highlight was undoubtedly the sterling effort they produced against Premiership outfit, Hull Dockers, in the Challenge Cup Competition.
The high profile of former Great Britain International, Jane Banks, who also holds the position of Community Sport Officer within The Foundation's team, undoubtedly assisted initial recruitment. This Club continues to feature several complete 'newcomers' to Women's Rugby League and is therefore contributing to the continued growth of the sport.
The Club uses municipal facilities and does not possess its own Club House. However, in utilising a popular local hostelry as a base, the Club has remained accessible to individuals in an economically challenged area of Warrington.
It is an indication of the Club's commitment to equity and best practice that 'Awards For All' funding was secured. The Club continues to build for the future and is always looking for new recruits - whether ladies or girls - so please contact The Foundation on 01925 248894 for further details.
