Wolves soar with Eagles
Warrington Wolves took their mid-week training session last week to Shaw Street, home of Culcheth Eagles Rugby League.
Wolves first team were put through their paces ahead of the side's round 15 encounter with Hull FC. A crowd gathered at the local club to watch the training session before the players and coaching staff signed shirts and autograph books for the Culcheth youngsters. There was also the opportunity to have photographs taken with their Super League heroes along with the historic Challenge Cup trophy. The Wolves' squad finished the afternoon with a post-training meal.
Wolves' Danny Fullerton, community coach, and Peter Moran, performance management co-ordinator, co-ordinated the fantastic day alongside Culcheth Eagles' volunteers Jon McLeod and Jo Eland. It was the second club visit by the Wolves' first team with around 200 people in attendance.
Danny was impressed by the event: "Jon (McLeod) worked tirelessly to make this event a success and, along with the help of the many committed volunteers who work hard at Culcheth Eagles, the rewards were plain to see. I must take my hat off to Jon, who holds many roles within the Culcheth club and is always keen to work with the Warrington Wolves."
The next club visit, as part of the Wolves' 'One Community' plan will be held at Rylands ARLFC next Wednesday 29th May.
