Wolves open window to RLWC2013
As the countdown to Rugby League World Cup 2013 continues the Wolves Charitable Foundation and Culture Warrington are currently developing a large-scale dance performance project entitled Window on Warrington to celebrate RLWC2013 coming to Warrington, and our host team Samoa.
The Window on Warrington piece will be performed along Buttermarket Street and the Guardians in the Town Centre prior to the RLWC games on the 27th October and the 17th November. The performance will feature over 600 performers from ages 3-87 from across Warrington as part of the March to the Match entertainment.
The visual performance piece will focus on various themes including Warrington's history, Samoan culture, the geometrics of Rugby League and how communities will join together to celebrate this prestigious event within the town.
The performance will feature a wide range of dancers of different ages and abilities from Warrington's schools and colleges, local universities and community dance groups. The performance will also feature Window on Warrington's very own professional performance company made up of dance artists from throughout the North West, demonstrating the prestige and quality for which the performance strives.
The performance is set to be a great addition to the RLWC celebrations, offering its audience a unique and exciting cultural experience showcasing the artistic talent within Warrington! Please come along and support this unique event!
