Wolves Injury ListThere has been much talk among the press of late regarding the injury situation at Warrington Wolves, that the club have decided to issue their physio report from the last game, which was against Wakefield Trinity Wildcats on Sunday 7th April.Physio Treatment Record for week beginning 8th April/strong>Dale LaughtonDale is not progressing as well as we would like and we are now at 4 weeks. In view of this the Dr and I along with Dale have decided to go along the lines of a repeat epidural injection. This is to be done on Thursday 11th April at 9.30am.Dean BusbyDean played yesterday but unfortunately suffered a moderate head injury. His ankle was sore today on examination but he has gone trough with the can-guided injection.Steve MadenSteve had an MRI scan which revealed synovitis but could not exclude a racture. He had an x-ray on 31st March which was clear and is now due an RI on Thursday 11th to exclude any significant injury. If scan is clear he ill then have a corticosteriod injection into the ankle to resolve his signs and symptoms.Tommy O'Reilly Tommy is progressing well with active rest. In view of his PMH (hamstring) I think it is wise to shut him down for the remainder of this weekend and only introduce him back to running at the weekend. If all goes well then he can gradually return to full training from the start of next week. For the remainder of this week Tommy can cycle, row and from Wednesday begin his strengthening exercises again. He must also continue to work on his back.Jon ClarkeJon played yesterday with ankle taped. He suffered no problems. O/E today still massively swollen and bruised. Treatment DFT and US. Continue with rehab. Also complaining of a sniff neck.Darren BurnsPlayed 80 mins. Felt Hamstring once in game when made a break, but only felt tight. O/E today nil to find but gentle low dose pulsed US given for reassurance.ACUTES/strong>Nick FozzardRight lateral ligament injury CFL+/-ATFL. Major effusion today on examination and severely altered gait. Ice bathed, horseshoe and compression applied. One aspirin (cannot take anti inflams), Not to train this week but to stay in rehab. If it responds well to treatment should be available for Wigan 19th.Paul Noone(Played at Chorley at weekend). C/O stiff lx spine since Wednesday training. Played 60mins yesterday. No referred pain. Severe reduction in any ROM. No neural signs. SI joints normal. Treated with F.I.L, which relieved his pain when doing and improved his movements. Postural advice and anti inflams given. Probably will be better able to assess when some of his range returns.Kev CrouthersC/O right tendo Achilles - had originally being relating it to his blisters but felt towards end of last week. Did not train Fri and was better Sat, but sore today after the game. O/E tender 1" above distal insertion. Too sore for ST Rx today. Rx with ice bath, compression and heel raise. To gradually stretch tomorrow initially NWB. Not to run for the remainder of this week. RehabSid Domic Right TA also. Sore medial distal insertion, not really thickened but think now can say we have a tendinitis here. Sid is to shut down this week now we have the break. Heel raise given for rest for 48 hours. To gently stretch and keep icing. Playing 80mins.Paul WoodDirect blow to medial right knee in game (could not continue). Nil to find apart from possible bone bruising. MCL and MM intact. Paul did have minor MCL strain here following a tibial injury 4 weeks ago from a valgus strain at Bradford - it may have flared up with direct blow. VMO ok and full quads stretch. Ice and compression today, but only minor medial effusion visible. Should have no problems.Dale CardozaValgus injury to right knee could not continue game. Immediate impression was MCL+/-MM. O/E today it is pure MCL at joint line. No laxity. More painful on palpation than stressing joint. Ice and anti inflams and gentle ROM ex given, should be available for Wigan, not to run this week but remain in rehab.Gary HulseRight upper forearm haetomatoma just below cubital fossa. Immediate haematoma during yesterday's game (academy). Dr had advised X-ray if did not settle, but just tender on movements today more than excruciating pain. Ice and compression applied. To begin stretches tomorrow, should be resolved no problem.
