Wolves Have an Impact
Warrington Wolves have seen one of their work placements's receive Achiever of the Month for January 2002. Craig Williams who is on a Community Development placement with the Wolves through the Choices scheme at Rathbone Training Centre based in Wigan. Craig is studying for his National Award and has recently completed a First Aid Course.His name will now be forwarded for the Achiever of the Year Award, which is selected, from all Monthly Achievers from the 67 Rathbone Training facilities around the country. Craig has been with the scheme 18 months now. The scheme offers training and support for academic unachievers, helping them achieve a goal within an organisation.Education Officer at the Wolves, Dave Prince commented, "Craig has fitted in well at the club, it has been a surprise to everyone the commitment and enthusiasm that he has shown. He has even asked for more work beyond what Rathbone require of him. Craig has shown himself to be a very dedicated individual."Craig has spent six months with the Wolves and is looking to spend the rest of his time with Rathbone with the Wolves, "I am mad on sport so when I started at Rathbone I was not bothered what I did as long as it was with sport. When Rathbone got me in at the Wolves I was really excited, it has been great. I coach on a Wednesday and Thursday with the Community team, I like Thursday's as it is community day and I get to work with the players. I would love to do more. My ideal job is in sport, possibly rugby league depends if there is a job available at the end of the course."
