Wolves and Matrix Community Network
Warrington Wolves and Matrix Networks have joined forces in a long-term sponsorship deal showing the ongoing commitment of both parties for the foreseeable future.
Matrix is the current sponsor on the first team shorts. This branding is partnered with player sponsorship of Brad Dwyer and additional advertising around the ground.
The company recently invited head of coaching and rugby Tony Smith and hooker Brad to officially open the head office on Daresbury Business Park taking the opportunity to gain an insight into the parallels between the world of business and sport.
The local company; that designs and installs utility infrastructure networks and new connections, namely electricity, water and gas, has recently extended its support into the community programmes within the Warrington and Cheshire area.
The most recent collaboration sees the Matrix branding feature on the elite player kits which will be worn by all those on the development camps.
The elite player development camps have been set up by Warrington and Cheshire Rugby League Development in association with the Warrington Wolves performance department
These camps, at ages under-11, under-12, under-13, under-14 and, under-15 and 16, focus on developing the skills and Rugby League knowledge of players selected from across the Warrington and Cheshire district. Each player selected will train for a ten-week programme, learning and practising a range of skills.
The players who have been selected come from a wide spread of community club which further reinforces the great work that is being done by the Wolves' community team, as well as the volunteers and coaches throughout the area.
Wolves' sales manager Alex Wilson said: "We are delighted that Matrix Networks have extended their support of the club, and that the partnership now has a strong association with the community game. The club is proud of, and values, the work done in the wider community helping to spread the word of the game and with the support of Matrix we are confident that the sport of Rugby League will continue to grow from strength to strength. It is great to see a local company taking the initiative to build on their current sponsorship to the future benefit of the game within the Warrington and Cheshire area. We look forward to continuing to work closely with Matrix."
Matrix Networks managing director Chris Mann echoed these sentiments and said: "We too are delighted to be part of this initiative. It's simply a natural extension of our continued commitment to the club and the wider community. It would be very easy just to focus on the success of the first team, but if we don't encourage and support the next crop of players, it will all be a waste of time. We're looking forward to attending some of the camps and seeing how the programme develops. I'm sure it will be an exciting opportunity for all those taking part."
