Wire2 Wolves Heritage Project
The Wolves Heritage project continues to make strides in recording the memories of players and supporters through the Playing for Success Centre and from the people of Warrington bringing pictures and memorabilia to be displayed.
As today we play Barrow, it is a significant year in their history - Barrow reached the Challenge Cup Final back in 1967. As we talk about Warrington's history, it is not to everyone's knowledge that Barrow boasted 4 players from Warrington including the great Jim Challinor, who is mentioned within today's Past Players article.
Unmentioned players include those who gave a lot back to the Warrington community when their careers came to an end - Ged Smith who coached Woolston Rovers, Henry Delooze, often seen supporting his grandson at Woolston and Tom Braphy, ex-Head Teacher of St. Gregory's High School.
