TrialistsWarrington Wolves have given two more players trials this season. David Whittle, 23 from Leigh Centurions and Steve Thomas, 22 from Leeds.Whittle started at Wigan and came through the development side and Academy before signing for Leigh in 1998. Whittle has international Welsh honours and recently played for Wales against England, alongside Wolves' Lee Briers. Whittle was prominent for Wales during the World Cup, receiving Man of the Match against Tonga.Thomas started at Bradford Bulls under the watchful eye of then coach Matthew Elliot, before moving to Leeds Rhinos under Anderson and Plange, where he impressed. Thomas was an U18 Welsh international.Anderson commented, "Both players are under 24 and fit in with my criteria that I am putting into place at Warrington. Whittle and Thomas will be given a week to week trial to see how they perform at this level. Both have impressed me enough to give them the opportunity to prove themselves here at Warrington."
