The Coca Cola PlateThis year teamÆs knocked out of the Coca-Cola 7s have been invited to take part in æThe Coca Cola PlateÆ formerly known as the Clarrie Owen Plate, after the Honorary Vice President.The First round fixtures will take place at Wilderspool on Friday 5th July, kicking off 4.30pm. All winners will play their 2nd round fixtures within 20 minutes of the 1st round games.All 1st round losers will play a second game, for participation purposes only, within the 20 minutes of their first round game.The Semi-Finals and Final will take place at a Super League fixture before the end of the current school term, either the Salford City Reds (21st July) or Hull FC (27th July).The primary schools participating are Padgate, St BridgetÆs, St MichaelÆs (from Osmkirk and Aughton), Great Sankey, Grappenhall Heyes, Penketh and St. AugustineÆs.Special Projects Officer, Brian Chambers commented, "The Coca Cola Plate is part of the Primary Link project at the Wolves and is a spin off of the success of the Coca Cola Cup. Teams that where knocked out of the Coca-Cola Cup gets the opportunity to compete in the secondary competition. It is also open to teams in the are that have just started to play Rugby League. All teams participating get the opportunity to play on Wilderspool this Friday. The successful teams that make it through to the semiûfinals willplay the semis and final at the half time of one of our future Super League games."
