The 'Kid' Signs!
International Centre David Kidwell will be pulling on the Primrose and Blue next season! David joins from a two year stint with Brian Smiths Parramatta Eels, during which time he represented New Zealand in the Tri-Series and recently he played alongside fellow Wolves players Toa Kohe-Love and Tawera Nikau for the Maori side in the World Cup.David comes to the Wolves with a top flight pedigree having been a Junior Kiwi, and one of the Eels standout players during the 1999 season for which he picked up a Test jersey for his country. A move to the Eels from the defunct Adelaide Rams gave the young centre a boost and he has worked well under former Bradford Bulls coach Brain Smith.Fresh from his stint in the World Cup David told of his decision to move on, "I am looking forward to playing at Warrington Wolves next season, I like the style of British football and that is one of the reasons why I opted to play in Super League VI.""I have been lucky to play alongside Tawera and Toa in the World Cup and they were very upbeat about the Wolves and the great supporters the club has.""I am also very excited about the prospect of playing alongside Alfie Langer, he is a legend in Australian Rugby League. He is one of the Worlds greats."Darryl Van De Velde commented, "David is a current NZ Maori international who brings with him a wealth of experience to the club. His size adds to our current back line and he is an aggressive runner with the football, he is a great acquisition for the Wolves."
