Super Ben marks 300th club appearance
Back rower Ben Westwood has had many reasons to celebrate so far this season with it being his Testimonial year.
Last weekend against Salford City Reds Ben crossed for this 100th try in primrose and blue as part of a hat-trick, and yesterday he made his 300th appearance for the club having made his debut back in June 2002.
This week Ben was named in Steve McNamara's 20-man England squad and the back-rower continues to dominate both in the club and International game.
To mark the 300th appearance milestone former player and coach Paul Cullen visited the team training session ahead of the side's trip to London to present Ben with a commemorative shirt.
Paul Cullen signed for Warrington from Crosfields in November 1980. He played for the club between 1981 and 1996 making 350 appearances, touching down for 56 tries, notching up 217 points. Throughout his playing days he was known to play in several positions: stand-off, centre, loose forward and second-row forward. He went on to coach his hometown club between 2002 (the year Ben joined) and 2008.
