
Social Showdown
Super League rivals Warrington Wolves and Wigan Warriors are all set to do battle on the pitch at the DW Stadium on Friday 8th February 8pm, however over the next 5 days they will also take their rivalry into the world of social networking as the clubs do battle in a ‘Social Showdown'.
Both clubs will go head to head from 5pm today (Monday 4th February) for 5 days to see whose Facebook and Twitter page can generate the greatest number of new ‘Likes' and ‘Followers'. To date the Wolves' Official Facebook page has 23,639 ‘likes' with the Warriors on 22,359. The Wolves' Twitter page total is at 14,916 ‘Followers' while the Warriors' page is on 21,218.
Wolves' fans can help their side win this online battle by http://www.facebook.com/warringtonwolvesrugby and then clicking the ‘Like' button at the top of the Warrington Wolves Official Facebook page. If you are already a fan share the page with all of your friends and invite them to join you.
Fans that use Twitter can show their support by http://twitter.com/wolvesrl to follow the Wolves' Official Twitter Page.
The Wigan v Warrington fixture has become one of the biggest fixtures in world Rugby over recent seasons with four 20,000+ crowds in the last 6 years.
Wolves' Captain Adrian Morley said: "There is some great rivalry between the Wolves and Warriors both on and off the pitch with both clubs having very passionate supporters.
