Russia Comes to Culcheth
The first Try Harder assembly will take place on Wednesday morning, 9-11 am at Culcheth High School. This is the first time a secondary school has included a whole year group in a teaching/coaching event.214 Year Seven pupils will be learning about Russia, the country they were elected to represent at the launch of Try Hard, in conjunction with the World Cup at the last match of the season V. Salford City Reds.The Try Hard initiative intends to promote the World Cup and bring awareness to the school children of other countries that play Rugby League. Russia played in the Emerging Nations World Cup in 1995 and earned promotion to the Lincoln Financial World Cup 2000 where they will compete in Group One against Australia, England and Fiji.
