Rlwc2013 Business Breakfast A Great Success!
Around 100 representatives from businesses based in Warrington and Cheshire recently turned out for a special business breakfast event at The Halliwell Jones Stadium.
The audience heard how they can get involved in the town's Rugby League World Cup preparations and celebrations from speakers including leader of the council Cllr Terry O'Neill, Jon Dutton of the tournament organisers, Wolves' chief executive Andy Gatcliffe and Paul Gallon of the Warrington Hoteliers Association.
Joe Blott, chair of Warrington's Rugby League World Cup consortium, said: "The session was a great success and I'd like to thank everyone who attended. The tournament is set to bring 20 000 visitors and add £2 million to the local economy later this year, this presents a fantastic opportunity for all sectors to pull together and make sure it is a real success in order to secure lasting benefits."
