Principal Takes A StandWarrington Wolves principal sponsor Lance James of JLJ Holdings has voiced his disappointment at the reaction of Warrington fans at the London game on Tuesday evening. A group of fans took to protesting outside the players' changing room entrance after the game, shouting at players as they emerged.Club Captain, Matt Rodwell who is sponsored by JLJ Holdings came in for a lot of criticism and abuse as he made his way to his car to meet with his young family, after the team's defeat.Lance James, a staunch rugby league supporter was dismayed by the abuse displayed by a minority of Wolves fans, "I am disgusted with the reaction of the fans towards their players at the London game, in particular towards Matty Rodwell. The distress at the team's position is understandable, but the protesting and abuse towards individuals at the club is unacceptable and disappointing."I am appealing for the fans to get behind the team and show their support and not continually put them down in such a manner as was shown on the evening of the London Broncos game."The team have had a shocking start to the season with seven defeats now behind them, what they need now is for the supporters to boost them in their task ahead, by rallying around and showing their true primrose and blue colours. Rugby League is a game of two halves we are still in the first half, so I am pleading to you not only as a sponsor of the club, but as a passionate fan of the team and sport to cheer your team through thick and thin. Enjoy the game, don't spoil it with these antics.""We are trying to attract more sponsors to the club and sport in general and if this performance from the 'fans' continue, I don't see potential sponsors wanting to be associated with what can be deemed hooliganism. "Warrington Wolves is a community team which is trying to attract young kids into the sport and this side of the spectators will put them off. I have a grandson who is mad on rugby and would love to be a professional player, but after witnessing the debacle on Tuesday is not so keen on aiming for professional level if that is what is to greet him, if the team he plays for was to lose a game."
