All about...............Rett Syndrome Research Trust UK
Rett Syndrome is a neurological disorder that affects seemingly healthy little girls, striking around the time of their first birthday and ending their parents' hopes and dreams for their future.
Rett affects nearly every aspect of these girls' lives, taking away their ability to walk, talk and use their hands. Many girls have problems with breathing and eating. Many have seizures.
In 2007 Rett was reversed in the lab and on the back of that scientific breakthrough Reverse Rett was formed by a group of parents desperate to raise for treatments and a cure. Reverse Rett exists for one reason, to keep the scientists working in the hope for a brighter future for our girls.
