Playing For Success
PFS 10TH ANNIVERSARY
The Warrington Wolves Playing for Success Centre is delighted to have recently been selected from Centres all across the country to be featured in a promotional DVD. Promoting good practice within Playing for Success, this DVD will be issued to the Chief Executives of all Sports Clubs.
Warrington Wolves Playing for Success has always had a close link to first team players, some of whom have worked as Learning Mentors while others have presented the children with Certificates at their End of Term Presentation Evenings.
Filming for the DVD took place on 26th April and Wolves star, Henry Fa'afili, was interviewed by pupils following a tour of the Stadium and changing rooms.

PLAYING FOR SUCCESS CENTRE OFFICIAL OPENING
The Minister of Sport, The Rt Hon Richard Caborn MP, officially opened the new Playing for Success Centre on the 24 April 2006. The Centre is now based on the Community Floor after 4 years at Wilderspool.
To mark the Opening, Richard Caborn unveiled an original piece of Aboriginal art by Sid Domic. The artwork symbolises Playing for Success and depicts many of the sports which have embraced this Initiative.
Since its inception, 2000 pupils from schools all over Warrington have now completed a 10-week course aimed at improving their literacy, numeracy and ICT skills, as well as their confidence and self-esteem.
The success of the Centre can be measured by its ability to attract such high profile dignitaries for its Openings - Rt Hon Ian McCartney MP (Wilderspool 2002) and Rt Hon Richard Caborn (2006).
The Centre is delighted to have attracted Asgard Media, IKEA and Cheshire Building Society as partners.
