Player Banned
Warrington Wolves player, David Highton, 22 has been banned from the game until 30th April 2002 under the RFL's Doping Control regulations. Head Coach Darryl Van de Velde commented, "I support the decision taken by the RFL, because I firmly believe there is no place in the game for players who cheat the system. However, I do have some sympathy in David's case as he took the product in good faith for an injury advised by an source outside of the RFL." Warrington Wolves will not be making any further comment and will not be making any of its representatives available for an interview on this subject.
