Penny Back in SquadLee Penny returns to the squad from a long-term calf injury, his last game for the Wolves was against Bradford Bulls in the Powergen Challenge Cup Round 4 (8th February 2003).YOU HAVE BEEN SIDELINED ALL SEASON WITH A CALF INJURY. HOW DIFFICULT HAS IT BEEN TO SIT ON THE SIDELINES?It has been very difficult; I am not a great watcher. I have come along to all the home games with my son and it has been extremely frustrating watching, especially since we have not won at home yet. I just want to get on the field and do my best for the team.WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING TO KEEP YOURSELF BUSY?When the initial injury happened it was four/five weeks before I could train and that was particularly hard, but my girlfriend Julie and I have just had our third child, so he kept me occupied. When I did start back it was a struggle to get back to the level of fitness I was at before the injury. But, with the help of our conditioner Tony O'Brien and extra sessions I worked up to it with a lot of cross training, step, rowing and weights in the gym: non impact work on the calf. I'm now back to peak fitness.APPO HAS MADE AN IMPACT AT FULLBACK AND HAS STATED THAT IT IS HIS FAVOURED POSITION, HAS THIS PUT YOU UNDER PRESSURE?It has been really difficult to see Appo play so well at fullback, but he is a class player and plays well at numerous positions, in particular the wing. It has made training more competitive and being announced in the squad at fullback for Friday is a big boost for me. I know that Chach has faith in me at that position and I don't intend to let myself down, the coach down or the team down.HOW IMPORTANT IS YOUR COME BACK THIS WEEKEND?It is very important, that I come back now as my contract runs out at the end of this season and I have a point to prove!
