Matthew Rodwell will be the new Warrington Wolves Club captain going into Super League VII. Rodwell has amassed a career total of 179 appearances, 36 tries with four field goals.Steve Anderson commented on the signing of the club's new captain, "Matt's experience of ten season in the NRL in Australia will more than assist in the develop of our young players at the club. The present Penrith Panthers coach, Royce Simmons has paid tribute to Matt's involvement with the development side of things in Penrith. Which I consider important in a club captain, to look to develop the youth within a side. Rodwell is an experienced No.7 and combined with my earlier signing of his team mate Sid Domic at No.13 they will bring the experience into the side that I am looking for to take the side forward next season. Matt's organisational skills will be an attribute to the style of play that we will be playing at Wilderspool next season."
