Warrington Wolves, Ben Westwood and his testimonial committee would like to thank all staff, supporters and volunteers who helped to clear the snow at the stadium ahead of yesterday's friendly match.
The response was unprecedented and once again highlighted the strength of loyalty within the Wolves' family.
Andy Gatcliffe, Wolves' chief executive, said: "On behalf of the club I would like to reiterate how grateful we are for the True Colours shown by so many yesterday. It was down to this support and teamwork that the game went ahead, and we cannot thank you enough for the part you played.
"The game going ahead was not only important to Ben's testimonial but also in the team's preparations ahead of the start of Super League next week, so thank you once again. We look forward to welcoming everyone to The Halliwell Jones Stadium throughout the season ahead for what will hopefully be another successful year both on and off the pitch."
