Lord Hoyle pushes for Stadium
The decision by deputy Prime Minister John Prescott on whether the Wolves are to get their new stadium has been delayed, according to letters received by the club and the local council. The letter stated that the initial 21 day period allocated for a response was unable to be achieved and that an unspecified extension would be required to consider the proposal.Lord Hoyle, a former Chairman of the Labour Party and local MP, commented, "It is standard procedure to inform the affected parties if a decision deadline cannot be reached and quite often the 21 day timescale is not managed.", he continued, "This is not unusual. They will reach a decision as quick as possible.""I just hope that the Government tells us to get on with it."
