Langer Bows Out!Warrington Wolves can confirm that Allan Langer has retired from the British game and will return to Australia within the next couple of weeks.Due to recurrent lateral inversion injuries to his left ankle. Allan has been advised by the club specialist to prematurely finish his career due to accelerated degenerative osteoarthritis. He has been playing through the pain barrier for several weeks and has decided that his long term health is important and most come first.After much discussion with the board at length it has been agreed that under the circumstances that Allan will retire earlier than expected. The Board issued the following statement:"We are disappointed that Alfie will not be able to see out his playing career with the Wolves. But, our main concern is Alfie's long term health and that must come first. We wish him luck in his future."
