Keep On Running - Steve Prescott’s Engage Mutual Challenge
Steve Prescott is appealing to Super League fans to help him meet the extreme challenge of his latest fundraising endurance feat.
"Keep on Running: Steve Prescott's Engage Mutual Challenge" - the 2010 flagship event for the Steve Prescott Foundation - involves running five marathons in five days, culminating at the Grand Final on 2 October.
The first four marathons, an incredible 104 miles, will be run by Steve over four days, starting on the morning of Tuesday 28th September at the KC Stadium in Hull, and culminating at Old Trafford the day before the Grand Final. The Foundation's 2010 main sponsor, Engage Mutual, will host the fifth and final marathon challenge in the Fanzone's Health & Fitness Area on Grand Final Day, where a treadmill will be in place for 26 fans to each run a sponsored one mile leg of the final marathon.
Inspirational Steve, MBE, is keen to add this challenge to an already impressive portfolio of physical feats and hopes that fans will get behind his latest fundraising endeavour.
"Running the London Marathon earlier this year was a tough yet rewarding challenge, so taking on four in four days will really push me to the limit - but I can't wait and am already getting stuck into the training," Steve said.
"Having fans complete the fifth marathon seems like a perfect end to the challenge, and will hopefully raise some much needed cash, and awareness for our two beneficiary charities, The Christie Hospital and Try Assist, the rugby league benevolent fund."
In addition to running a mile on Grand Final Day there are other opportunities for fans to get involved and show their support:

- Run a full day
- Run a section of a day
To be involved, participants need to sign up on the SPF website, www.steveprescottfoundation.co.uk. Spaces are limited, but there are other ways to show support for the event, either by cheering the various runners on before they head to their seats for the Engage Super League season finale, or by making a donation.
