Hills GraduationWarrington Wolves have re-signed Alliance player, John Hill, 20 on a full time contract of twelve months, which will see him train with the first team squad and be available for first team selection.John is known for his aggressiveness and sheer determination, which has seen him rewarded with his first grade debut as a substitute against Castleford in the last match of the Super League VI season. Originally signed to the Alliance from amateur club Wigan St Judes as a loose forward but has developed as a prop. Hill is knocking on the door of first team selection, as a strong defensive player.Being chosen for first team selection came as a surprise for John, "It was a shock, I wasn't expecting a first team contract. I have Gary Chambers to thank for pushing for me. I am aiming to gain as much first team experience next season, ideally I would like a regular first team spot. The pre-season training has been going well, we have been slowly building up, there is a real team spirit in the camp, which will be beneficial on the field. Can't wait for the season to kick off."Gary Chambers, John's Alliance Coach has been impressed with his ability, "His size is an asset, 17 stone and 6ft 2in with good rugby ability, guys like that are hard to come by. Jon had a good last year in the Alliance, unfortunately he had a few injuries, which I feel put him out of the running for the opportunity to feature in the first team more. He really wants o do well and improve himself. With all those attributes, I think he will be a good acquisition for the first team."Football Manager, David Plange commented on signing John Hill on a full time contact, "Paul Darbyshire and Gary Chambers have a very high opinion of John and although Steve and I have not seen to much of him in game time, we are fully confident that their opinion will see him live up to their expectations."
