Grubber meets his Wolves designer
Rugby League World Cup 2013 is now only 115 days away and Grubber the mascot touched down at The Halliwell Jones Stadium last week when the Wolves hosted Wigan Warriors.
The famous silverware was out and about around the town before being presented to the 14,000 supporters within the stadium.
One of the thousands of primrose and blue fans was 12-year-old Luke James who was one of three youngsters whose artistic imagination helped bring the official RLWC2013 mascot to life.
Luke said on meeting Grubber: "It was amazing. Grubber and the shirt looked great and I can't wait to see him at the World Cup."
Luke's match day was made extra special when he was introduced to the crowd to pose for photos with Grubber and Wolfie, and was delighted to walk out onto the pitch.
"It was spectacular - a once in a lifetime opportunity - I didn't realise it was so big!!"
