Great Gameday!
Warrington Wolves are aiming to break their record Super League crowd for the third time this season as they entertain the leaders Wigan Warriors the Sunday kick-off 3pm. The record crowd of 9086, set against St Helens should be beaten, as it is the first time this season that the game against Wigan will not be on Sky. This will be the third fixture between the two sides and the Wolves are determined to register a win against their local rivals for the first time this season. There'll be some great confrontations across the park, in particular, look out for the head-to-head clash between Tawera Nikau and Andy Farrell, and Andrew Gee and Mick Cassidy. Adam Jude, the Wolves Community Development Manager enthused "the club has organised a spectacular game day package with a schedule of entertainment and special guests so as to encourage fans to get there early." A gate will open at 12:30pm with a pre-match curtain-raiser, Great Britain Women versus England Wildcats. The pre-match entertainment will be crammed with exciting events including: a star local singer, gymnastics display, mini-rugby full-height match, a new form of transport for Wolfie and of course no day will be complete without the Starlites. A limited edition car sticker will be available before the game, plus a Tetley Bitter promotion to reward those arriving early. Fans will also have the opportunity to have their say on the Wolves, by filling out the supporters survey, available at the turnstiles or the club shop. The game is the biggest Super League fixture in the north-west this weekend and fans are advised to book early to avoid disappointment. Contact the ticket hotline on 01925 25005.
