Good Luck Girls
All at Warrington Wolves would like to wish the Wolves' Wags the best of luck in today's Ben Nevis climb!
Rugby League Wags join forces today in a fundraising walk up Ben Nevis, in aid of the Life For A Kind Foundation.
Over 70 are taking part including a group of Wolves' wives and girlfriends with eight taking on the challenge: Vicki Carvell (wife of Garreth), Vicky Hall (partner of Lee Briers), Katie Hewitt (partner of Mike Cooper), Helen Lomax (partner of Tyrone McCarthy), Kerrie Grix (wife of Simon), Helen Skelton (fiance of Richie Myler), Kathryn O'Neil (partner of Chris Hill) and Debbie Hudson (partner of Ben Westwood).
Life For A Kid is a charity which aims to help children under the age of 16 by offering funds and equipment to help them lead a better life. It also helps children who require life saving or life changing operations.
The Wolves' contingent also face the climb in aid of The Ear Trust splitting their raised funds across the two charities. The Trust is a charity close to the hearts of both Garreth and Vicki Carvell after its support with their son Isaac.
Ahead of today's challenge Garreth's wife Vicki said: "I would like to thank all the girls who have supported us and especially those doing the climb. It means so much to know you have great friends to rely on and we will be forever grateful. It's going to be a tough ask for most of us but hopefully we can encourage each other up to the summit; failing that we'll just climb onto Helen Skelton's back - if she can row the Amazon she can carry a few girls up a mountain!
"A lot of training and hard work has gone into the climb and there have been plenty of blisters popped but it's all for a fantastic cause so it's well worth it. I thank you in advance for donating."
There is still time to donate by visiting www.virginmoneygiving.com/rugbywag specifying Vicki Scott on the end when making your donation. OR text LFK Vicki Scott to 70300 to donate £3.
