Darryl will not extend contract
Darryl Van de Velde announced today that he would not be seeking extension to his current contract, which expires at the end of this season. Darryl will be returning to Australia at the end of the season. He has chosen this time to announce his departure to give the Board the opportunity to appoint his successor for Super League VII. He advised the Board that this would also give them the opportunity to re-sign the clubs' core players for the following season. Darryl Van de Velde does not wish to comment any further at this stage other than, "My main focus from now until the end of the season, is to maintain a winning sequence and to improve the team's position in the league." Over the past three seasons under the control of van de Velde the Wolves have climbed the Super League table from 10th in Super League III to just outside a play-off place in 6th last season.
