Cullens CommentPaul Cullen comments on the Easter fixtures against Salford and Widnes and looks towards this weekends Challenge Cup fourth round tie at Headingley.CONGRATULATIONS ON THE TWO POINTS AGAINST WIDNES, WHERE YOU HAPPY WITH THE PERFORMANCE DISPLAYED?Not entirely but that should not detract from the effort. Widnes did not come here to lose in that manner, but four first half tries chipped away at their resolve. We were confident that if we could handle their early energy we could open them up later on. We were patient and that was rewarded.DO YOU FEEL THAT THE PLAYERS ANSWERED THEIR CRITICS IN PARTICULAR HENRY FA'AFILI WITH HIS TWO TRIES?Our focus is simply to improve the performance and confidence of every individual player and I believe that we are making progress in doing that. Our second half performance against Salford was simply unacceptable, across the board and our performance against Widnes wasour attempt to correct that.GOING BACK TO THE SALFORD MATCH WHAT WAS THE REASONING BEHIND KEEPING THE PLAYERS ON THE PITCH AFTER THE GAME?Our original plan was to stretch down post game and then travel to a post game training session, which we did. We thanked our supporters received their opinions and did not hide. WHAT DID YOU SAY TO THEM AFTER WITNESSING THAT PERFORMANCE?I reminded them, that if we don't fight we don't win. THERE HAS BEEN A LOT OF TALK ABOUT PRESSURE IN RECENT WEEKS. HOW DO YOU HANDLE IT?By refusing to allow it in.YOU SIGNED LEE BRIERS LAST WEEK. WHY SO EARLY IN THE SEASON?2006 and 2007 will come around very quickly and this is a part of our long term strategy.IS THERE ANYMORE CONTRACT EXTENSIONS IN THE OFFING?We have our targets both from within and outside our current squad. IS THERE A CONCERN WHEN PLAYERS SIGN CONTRACTS SO EARLY IN THE SEASON THAT THEY MAY LAPSE INTO A COMFORT ZONE OF KNOWING THEY ARE SAFE NEXT SEASON? The comfort zone theory is countered by the not available theory.LOOKING AHEAD TO THIS WEEKEND LEEDS WILL BE 'SMARTING' FROM THEIR DEFEAT AT THE HANDS OF AN OUTSTANDING WAKEFIELD. DO YOU THINK THAT WARRINGTON WILL FEEL THE SHOCK WAVES OF THAT DEFEAT?If Leeds are smarting from Wakefield we are still red raw from Salford. WHAT IS THE INJURY SITUATION GOING INTO THIS WEEKEND'S MATCH?The 20 man squad announced is literally the 20 fittest men left available, the requirement from the powers that be is that even if you don't have 20 fully fit men available 72 hours before kick off you need to announce those that our slightly less injured. HOW LONG IS DARYL CARDISS OFF PLAYING? HE IS THE ONLY PLAYER BESIDES SIMON GRIX TO MAKE A FIRST TEAM APPEARANCE THIS SEASON SO FAR, IS HIS STUBBORN INJURY A CONCERN?Both Daryl and Simon are on our (long term) injured list and are still at least a month away from game related training. WHAT IS THE INTEREST IN MATT ORFORD?Our policy is never to comment on players that we have not signed. Sufficed to say we have the ambition to bring players of the highestquality to Warrington.
