Cullens CommentWHERE YOU DISAPPOINTED WITH THE OUTCOME OF THE MATCH AGAINST ST. HELENS 30-30, CONSIDERING YOU WERE LEADING 24-10?I would have certainly taken the 30-30 pre-match, but consider a draw a fair result. There are usually 60 points in Warrington and St. Helens games, but not usually in this configuration. The result still leaves us with an awful lot of work to do and again it was a massive learning curve for myself as a coach and for the players.ST. HELENS BROKE SEVERAL RULES INVOLVING HEADSETS/RADIOS ON THE FIELD DURING THE FIELD, THE RFL HAS DECIDED NOT TO FINE THE CLUB, BUT GAVE THEM A TICKING OFF, DO YOU THINK THAT THIS PUNISHMENT FITS THE CRIME?I'm a bit disappointed that we got ourselves involved in a circus post match. It wasn't one we were looking for or one we've caused. It has tended to detract from what was a very good game of Rugby League. As far as we're concerned, I personally won't be making an official complaint, I won't be sending in the match video and I won't be releasing the match video to the media who have been clamouring for it.It's all turned into a bit of a storm in a teacup and one that we want no part of. It's all turned out to be rather silly and a little bit pointless. As far as we're concerned the issue is closed. The match commissioner has issues because that's his job and that's between him, the Rugby Football League and St. Helens. It's simply now a matter of process and protocol and we're not a part of it.THIS WEEKEND WE TAKE ON WAKEFIELD AT BELLE VUE, THE SCENE OF A CRUSHING DEFEAT AT THE END OF SEASON, HOW IMPORTANT IS A WIN AWAY THIS WEEKEND?The performance is critical, the result will take care of itself we have some ghosts to exercise at Belle Vue. We fully respect the quality of players such as Vowles, Korkidas, Hood, Ellis and Wells etc. If we don't turn up ready to give as much as we gave against St.Helens there is a real danger we will get turned over.HOW ARE YOUR PREPARATIONS FOR THE ORIGIN COMING ALONG?It continues to build behind the scenes. The majority of the preparation is now in place. We have a further four games to finally decide which players are going to put their hand up for selection, which also runs concurrently with the work we are doing with the England side, we our simply maintaining a watching brief.AWAY FROM THE RUGBY FIELD THERE IS A LOT OF DISCUSSION ABOUT MOVING THE BRIAN BEVAN STATUE FROM THE ISLAND TO THE NEW STADIUM, WHAT ARE YOUR OPINIONS ON THE SUBJECT?I think Brian Bevan should be with us at a place were fans of rugby league can safely pay homage to the greatest player ever to wear our colours. I would hate to see the statue on a traffic island in the middle of no-man's land; we should literally carry it to the new stadium.
