Celebrate One Week To Go Samoan Style
The Samoan RLWC2013 squad landed in Warrington earlier this week and you can get your first glimpse of them in action in their warm-up match this Saturday afternoon.
Samoa will take on England Knights at Salford City Stadium on Saturday 19th October, 2pm.
Adult tickets for this match cost £15 and £5 for concessions. In partnership with Salford-based social landlord City West Housing Trust, children aged 16 and under accompanied by an adult can attend for free on Saturday.
To take advantage of the kids go free offer and to purchase tickets call 0844 856 1113 or visit www.rugbyleaguetickets.co.uk for further information.
The following day why not visit The Halliwell Jones Stadium and get a taste of the Samoan culture by attending the town's Songs of Praise Faith Service? Doors will open at 2pm for a 3pm start. Free entry to all via gates18/20.
The service on Sunday 20th October will be led by Reverend Stephen Kingsnorth and will feature readings from prominent members of the local community and music from local artists and groups.
At the conclusion of the service guests are invited to join together in the largest ever attempted Samoan Haka. Local schoolchildren will lead the way as the town welcomes Samoa by celebrating a week to go until RLWC2013 action comes to the home of the Wolves. This haka attempt in association with Sainsburys, Church Street, and the Wolves Charitable Foundation is scheduled to start outside the Bevan corner of the stadium at 4.30pm on Sunday afternoon.
