Boxing Day Unwrapped
Boxing Day will see local rivals Warrington Wolves and Widnes Vikings go head-to-head in a festive derby match at the Stobart Stadium.
Kicking off at 3pm, fans are in for their first taste of Rugby League ahead of the new campaign.
Head of coaching and rugby Tony Smith said: "It's a great experience for some of the young lads especially. They'll be some senior guys in there alongside them to help them gain that experience and that's important. We want to give them as much chance as we can to impress before the season starts and we won't have many opportunities to do that."
And on the opposition: "This fixture brings out the best in both sides and is always entertaining and one we're looking forward to. I know the fans will too. We like to play in games that mean something to everyone and it certainly will. There's that built in rivalry between the two teams, clubs and two sets of fans. We will certainly be doing our best to perform well."
