Best for 50 Years!Capping the regular season off with a capacity crowd and a win over reigning World Champions Leeds Rhions on Saturday night has given the club it's best season for 50 years. The 13,024 crowd at the Halliwell-Jones Stadium pushed average attendances for the season to 11,003, the highest league average since 1955/6, when as reigning champions the average at Wilderspool was 12,322. The 55/6 average was considerably boosted by a crowd of 26,088 against St Helens. 12 of 14 gates this season have been in excess of 10,000, with season tickets going on sale this week it's hoped the average gate may be even higher for Super League XI.
