Bates On Trial
Warrington Wolves have taken Castleford Tigers' 20 year-old back rower David Bates on trial. Bates, who played against the Wolves yesterday in their 27-12 victory of the Tigers, impressed Steve Anderson, "We have taken Bates on a trial, it is a week to week arrangement at present to have a look and assess how he plays with the team." Rob Smyth who was led from the field in the clash with the Tigers yesterday injured has popped his shoulder. Smyth is due to undergo tests later today. Anderson commented, "It is too early to say how long Rob will be out of the line up, we are waiting for the test results and we will go on how he progresses over the next week or two."
