Atkins reaches a century
Centre Ryan Atkins made his 100th club appearance for Warrington last night having signed for the Wolves in 2010 from Super League side Wakefield Wildcats.
Since his debut in February of that year he has gone on to score 70 tries notching up a points total of 280.
In his first year at the club he was one of the star performers in the Challenge Cup Final against Leeds and backed this up again in 2012. He was also a try-scorer in the Grand Final last season.
The England International is a player renowned for his power and speed pairing up well with winger Chris Riley on the club stage, and will be targeting a spot on the international stage come the end of the year.
To mark this milestone past players Ronnie and Ian Duane were invited down to training to present Ryan with his commemorative playing shirt.
The brothers, born in Warrington, both played for ‘the Wire' in the 80s with Ronnie following in Ian's footsteps.
Ian made his debut in December 1978 making 120 appearances and scoring 15 tries at centre before his final game in 1985.
Brother and fellow centre Ronnie debuted in 1981 notching up 173 appearances, 51 tries and 28 goals before his last season in 1989.
