THE WOLVES AMBASSADORS
Involvement in sport and physical activity can result in greater community ownership and care of local facilities and resources. It can also benefit the individual through new skills and confidence.
The Wolves identified a group of young people through Connexions to be Ambassadors of the Club. Over a 12-week period, completing their Education to Employment programme, they discovered what life is like at the Wolves.
Receiving training and volunteering opportunities is vital for starting any new career. They have been able to experience working with young children, promotions in the town centre and also web design.
The project has been supported through the Connexions Development Fund. Pauline Deans of BNFL was impressed and stated:
When hearing about the commitment to social change and the impact The Foundation was having on these individuals, our corporate responsibility group wanted to assist and are proud to help this project continue
