Community - Primary Link
Primary Link
Warrington Wolves strongly believe that Primary Link helps to enthuse, retain and develop young players whatever their gender or level of ability.
The main aim of the Primary Link programme is to help young people get more from their involvement in Rugby League.
The Wolves have strong links with all the Warrington Primary Schools and Amateur Clubs in the town and those links are crucial in encouraging children to continue participating in Rugby League throughout their adult lives.
Warrington Wolves are currently involved with 75 Primary Schools per academic year, coaching Tag Rugby and organising Tag Festivals, which give pupils the opportunity to display the skills they have gained along with other schools in the same area of the town. These Festivals are held at the Amateur Club within that cluster area. All pupils who have received coaching and who have participated in Festivals are presented with certificates.
Warrington Wolves first team players are utilised in assembly programmes delivering Healthy Living, Lifestyle, Cultural and Electrical Safety messages.
